Hideaway Unit

1958 onwards hideaway unit

Not much is known about these hideaway units from BAL-AMi.

There is now evidence of a couple with serial number plates which suggest that at least fifty were made.

The unit would have been located in a hidden area of the establishment, usually due to a lack of space in the bar etc.. A wall box and speakers would be in the bar for operation and sound.

The series 900 mechanism wasn't used until the BAL-AMi Model I in 1958, so it's assumed that the hideaways originate from that time.
