BAL-AMi Model "Century" Jukebox (c1960)

Not much is known about this particular BAL-AMi jukebox. It was completely unheard of when this web site was first constructed in 1997, and there's no mention of it in the jukebox "encyclopaedia" The Ultimate Jukebox Guide.

It was only in 2006 that the first of four of these machines - all located in mainland Europe - was made known to me via the web site, and the others quickly followed.

It is thought that a small manufacturing operation was set up by Balfour in or near Le Touquet in France to manufacture them.

The machines themselves look to be based upon the S100 but have an electric select mechanism (the S100 is manual) and have differences in the trim (e.g. the front bezel is upside down to that of the S100).
